Research into the impact of the 2012 Paralympic Games on the sports participation of people with health conditions or impairments

My name is Christopher Brown and I am a final-year PhD student at the University of Kent.

I am particularly interested in the impact of the 2012 Paralympics on the sports participation of people with health conditions or impairments in your sport. I am also interested in exploring possible reasons for the sport participation legacy. To answer this, I have created an online questionnaire, which can be accessed using the following link https://kent.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/exploring-the-2012-paralympic-games-sport-participation-le?token=69c52812d9c946bdb137d8cd14895244.

The questionnaire is designed for voluntary sports clubs of sports that featured in the London 2012 Paralympics. Completion of the questionnaire is expected to take no longer than 15 minutes.

I would like one member of your club (ideally the club secretary) to complete the questionnaire on behalf of the club. No personal information of your club or yourself that you provide is identifiable; all personal information will be anonymised. Confidentiality is assured. This project has been granted full ethical approval by the University of Kent’s ethics committee.

By completing the questionnaire and by providing a contactable email address, you have the opportunity to win one of three Amazon vouchers: £25, £15, or £10.

If you have any queries or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
